When BBQ Make My Favorite. I'm still bragging. BBQ, really made my Favorites List? OH YEAH! Just down the road from the World Famous TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY, C&J came recommended from fellow Ags. An old converted gas station, you're met by a NY deli line service with all flavors and likes of fresh bbq are set before you in a display case. Tasty brisket and pulled pork. Brisket was better. Sauces were really good for a Texas joint. Friendly and willing to serve like Rudy's. Potato salad was tasty and the beans were homemade like my wife's. They just need my wife's seasoning recipe though.
Great food!. I had the sliced beef sandwich basket with french fries. It was tender and yummy. My boyfriend had the jalapeño sausage platter with potato salad and okra. I thought he was going to lick his plate clean!
Sandwiches and meat are so so, but the sides are great. The atmosphere is good and it's a nice change of pace from Rudy's.
