After spending a day by the river, my family and I decided to stop by and discovered this cozy hidden gem, where we nestled into a booth near the entrance. The atmosphere was just right for warming up on a rainy evening. Since moving to the area, we've struggled to find great Indian cuisine. We love the Clay Oven in Vacaville, but learned that it’s unrelated to this restaurant. We've tried several highly-rated places, but none have made us want to come back—until now. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and we will definitely be returning regularly.
In my experience, this isn't the best Indian food I've ever had. I recently visited a new Indian restaurant, Namaste, in San Francisco just two days ago, which serves as my point of reference. I ordered Basil Garlic Naan, regular Naan, and Chicken Tikka Masala. The naan had a chewy texture, and the garlic flavor was so overpowering that it drowned out the basil. As for the Tikka Masala, it had an unexpected mix of sweetness and sourness that I didn't anticipate. I didn't try much of the Chicken Tikka Masala, but I wasn't fond of that particular version.

I traveled from Modesto to Sacramento in search of great Indian food, and I'm happy to say my journey ended here. I never expected to find such a fantastic place in Orangevale, but everything was delicious, and the service was outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the delightful aromas promise an excellent meal. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
