Staying at the Fairfield Inn , Walpole , great place to stay but no bar . A short walk out of the hotel and next door is Clyde’s Grill and Bar . Cosy bar , restaurant area and a wooden horse , what more could you want ! . Wide range of craft ales and lagers , spirits galore including Hendricks Gin which impressed the missus . Food was superb , we had some Spring Onion Strings and a Pizza , all reasonably priced . Finally a word about the staff , very friendly and helpful , as were the customers. We will return ! Went in for lunch while on business. We don’t have much time and they were extremely accommodating knowing that we had a short period of time. They gave me the wrong sandwich but bent over backwards to ensure I was happy. I just wish we had got to go back to eat here again. Food was excellent, try the fried chicken sandwich or pulled pork!
