I LOVE this place and it is our go to when at Central. We love their coffee and friendly service. HOWEVER, On Saturday we popped in for lunch and was escorted to our table by a lovely young lass. Unfortunately, when she turned around for us to follow, her pants were wee short tights that barely covered her butt, had an elastic gather that meant the seam was deep into the crevice and was stretched so tightly the fabric was transparent. and underwear must have been transparent... Confronting much. We were seated in the entrance way which meant she swanned past us so many times that we actually chose to opt for takeaway coffees and leave. Perhaps it was an April Fool's Joke...
I visited this restaurant on Saturday for a light lunch and it was quite busy. I was seated and served quickly, with drinks and cake arriving promptly, followed by my food just ten minutes later. The staff was impressively efficient, as no dish or table was left unattended for more than a few moments. Despite the hustle and bustle, the servers were all polite and considerate. Overall, it was a wonderful experience—simply fantastic!
Excellent service, visited on a Saturday morning busy and cheerful, fast service and helped me find a vegan takeaway option. As we were removing some dairy items the chef added olives and salad the best takeaway avo on toast I've ever had!! Everything warm and cooked well, feels like you can taste/ see the love and care in the food preparation both on display and brought out :
Ordered the chef's choice which was a rib fillet steak with some tomato relish lettuce and cheese in hollondaise sauce with fries. Beef was tender and nice. Good presentation of food. However the coffee latte does not have the power of an espresso kick. For s quick fix whilst waiting for my wife shopping nearby the price is reasonable.

Headed into this cafe before going on the scenic rail train. The service was really friendly, the coffee is delicious and we had a homemade sausage roll which was amazing! They even sell Cornish pasties! Will definitely be back, great variety and fantastic service.
Food was fresh and well presented. Staff were friendly, extra water to cool tea given as soon as requested, plates cleared promptly. Coast Roast made a quick breakfast for us a very pleasant experience.
