Sunday roast day! Booked on app for 2.30 so when we arrived, we were told over an hour wait! We were happy to wait saves me cooking dinner and got to spend more time with my grown up kids, all good. Was so hungry though!! Ordered 2 rounds of drinks but poor woman (Janine) behind bar on her own, not good. All staff overworked. I love this pub, please employ more staff. Such a lovely pub but I must stress they need help
Fantastic pub with a lovely atmosphere, thanks to the staff. This is one of our local favorites, and we often come here. The entire team is exceptional—very warm and welcoming. Janine, who typically works behind the bar, is wonderful, and Charlie has been incredibly helpful. We've always found the food to be well-prepared, served hot, and reasonably priced.
I recently returned to this restaurant with friends after many years, and we were all thrilled with our meals! Everything was delicious! I had the Brattruthen, which came with cauliflower cheese and a crispy Yorkshire pudding – truly fantastic and very affordable! The service was excellent, and the staff was courteous. I highly recommend this place!
Visited with my dad on 18th Nov 22 and we had a nice meal, I had hunters chicken and dad had scampi and chips, we both had bramley apple pudding. There is lots of parking. The staff were very friendly. My only issue was the plates were not hot. We look forward to coming to your place again. Book a table now
