I’m from the Midwest, so I’m judging by my experience from home and expecting this place to be slightly worse it absolutely wasn’t!I first noticed peanuts on every table with an empty for shells (I hate the peanut shells on the floor thing. Delightful! Tables had “pizza joint” red and white checkered waterproof covers with paper on top. Music was 70’s rock and a reasonable volume. I prefer a more European environment, but this felt like home.I ordered French Onion Soup and a medium rare ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes. The soup came first with homemade dinner rolls and homemade cinnamon butter. When I was halfway done with the soup, the food arrived. Very quick service from waitress...
My husband and I have been here before. Two years ago, it was amazing. Last year the food was good but the service was not. This year was just bad. For the first time in 35 years of being with my husband, he sent his food back. He ordered his steak medium rare, and it came out well done. This wasn't an oddity since 2 other tables also sent food back, 5 plates that we saw went back to the kitchen. They only replaced his steak, not the fries he ordered with it. At no time did we see a manager. This bothered me more than the food, I work in customer service and would never leave my team to defend a negative experience and not personally apologize. Third time was not a charm. We live near Largo location and years ago enjoyed going to Cody 's. This time one server got a number of tables, service slow, burger cold, no rolls, useless manager did not help server. Last time our server 's boyfriend was hanging out in booth behind us, at least we knew where to find her; on his lap. Time before that, zero personality server spoke too soft to hear him so we had to have him shake his head to acknowledge he got our order. Best part was...you can 't have fried mozz because the appetizer guy did not show up .
Not a reputable establishment. I walked in an hour before the posted business hours closing time. I sat down the bartender asked me what I would have, I started to order she stopped me and said we're not going to be open much longer. It was clear that she did not have any interest in my business. She said there's not that many people in here the bar was half full. There were plenty of people seated and dining, the staff was only interested in stopping their work for the evening and not at all interested in serving your customers

Would love this to be our local go to place. But it is just “ bar food”, with exception of the steaks. Frozen onion rings, frozen shrimp... ordered garlic mashed potatoes as a side. They were instant no garlic hospital cafeteria grade. We never get offered the dinner rolls. The quesadilla had so much cheese you could hardly find the shrimp that were supposed to be in there. The salad is always sad, just lettuce. Not what it used to be years ago.
Steak was great, I ordered the filet. Loved the rolls and salad as well! Unfortunately, my baked potato wasn’t cooked all the way so I wasn’t able to enjoy it. Our server was awesome! We arrived around 6 PM on a Thursday and were seated right away. Parking was a little difficult due to the restaurant being located in a strip mall and sharing the parking spaces with other businesses.
First time ever went there. Had early bird special. Service was good. Very disappointed. Had steak cubes with mushrooms and onions. Steak was hard to chew. Tried to cut smaller pieces barely could cut. Almost lost my lower denture trying to chew. Sorry never again for me.
We had a great dinner and everyone enjoyed what they got to include shared appetizers. I think their servers are a bit overwhelmed but do a great job considering. We didn't have to wait long for anything and our orders were fully accurate.

Overall, it was good. My wife got the ribeye with mashed potatoes. I got the chicken fried chicken with potatoes. Love their bottomless salad.
