I had the pleasure of trying the short ribs eggs benedict at this restaurant, and it was truly amazing. The meat was incredibly tender, the flavors were spot on, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Honestly, it's the best breakfast I've ever had, and I've been to many places. On the downside, the water had a strange taste, almost like tap water with a hint of bleach. But the incredible food makes up for it! The servers were friendly and down-to-earth as well. I would rate this experience a solid 9 out of 10—definitely a must-try!

It's fine. The portions are huge but it's also expensive. They make seemingly everything in house, like the sausage, which was good. Pancakes are really tough, fluffy, and taste like burnt egg a little. They don't have espresso... Which was wild for a place with cafe in the name but sure, why not. Overall I'll only go there for specific things like their biscuits and gravy. Oh, the hot chocolate was unbelievable.

The food here is always great, simple concepts but complex flavors. When we stopped by today, they were having a bunch of tech issues which made everything chaotic and my online order hadn’t come through on their side, but they were so incredibly kind and managed to be quick to keep things moving. I still had my food within about 10 minutes of getting there! Such a gem in this neighborhood.

I just picked up an online order, and I ordered the egg, provolone, and sausage sandwich on gluten-free bread for $12 (it’s usually $10, but the gluten-free option adds $2). Unfortunately, my sandwich was missing the sausage, which was disappointing. For $12 plus tip, you can easily find better options elsewhere. Book a table now

Delicious. Flavorful. Generous portions. The kind of food that feels like a dream. These are just a few ways to describe our first visit to Colossal Café. We ordered the roasted pork shoulder breakfast burrito with cheddar, and it was truly exceptional.

Great staff, sometimes counter service tables are fend for your self. But they set aside a table while we were in line! Food and coffee were both great, I had a pork shoulder burrito which was very tasty.

I had brunch here once a week during 5 years of grad school and still make a point to visit when I'm back in the twin cities. Always a great atmosphere, always great food
