I'm really disappointed at eating in colquhouns, but even more disappointed with the managements lacking interest in my feedback that eating was not great. after my dinner in colquhouns I received an email asking for my feedback. I have submitted my assessment on...25. april 2022, in which it is explained that “the fish were nice, but the diligent on the fish was so hard that I could hardly cut it through. expects more of colquhouns especially at a price of £17.50 portions are also quite small. on the top the suppe was fantastic!” I then explained that the fish has set me the food again, which is a pity. I was not sure if the restaurant sees this feedback automatically, so I replied the feed...
After asking 3 different waiters for a coffee and a scone, I decided to wait for 30 minutes until it arrives. I made my complaint known to the bar manager. he apologized and offered to get the coffee. I declined his offer when he also said that he hadn't noticed I was sitting in the lounge. that surprised me because I was the only customer in the lounge, although I could see him and his colleagues clearly. Maybe he had been too busy showing his colleagues that his dance moved behind the bar to notice customers! very disappointed that this facility was visited very often in the last twenty years.
Visited the restaurant for afternoon tea. The restaurant was busy, but not completely full. It took over an hour for our afternoon tea to be brought to the table after asking numerous times when this was coming. We then had to remind staff we needed...to order tea/coffee, then didn't have any teaspoons, no sugar etc. They did try and accommodate my nut allergy, but ended up bringing out something that may have contained nuts. They did rectify this by bringing an alternative. Food was nice but service was awful. Would not return.
Cannot fault the view and decor in this restaurant. Deep fried lasagne as a starter was great, for mains we had the mullet and the beef burger. Both tasty however the chips tasted as though they had been cooked early and stood heating for a...while and the mullet was very salty (fine for me as I love salt but imagine not ideal for others Overall service was faultless but sadly let down slightly by the quality of the food.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and ate here every day whilst the menu was the same each day we thoroughly enjoyed all the meals we had. Staff appeared young but were friendly and helpful we only had one charging issue and...this was resolved speedily and with grace. Would happily return.
Afternoon tee vers reality pictures they had served us tee and coffee an hour before eating and we all had to share milk paid 22.50 everyone but we had to picture nr. 2 between two men should tear out at least...be a afternoon tee each person should not go back
We enjoyed a lovely meal last night. Hummus/fish chips/ tiramasu Prosciutto mozzarella/ chicken/ profiteroles Boris of red wine £100 Worth every penny. Lovely food, warm welcome fun the staff (who found us a late table without a reservation). Fantastic.
was in today for lunch and was shocked. two dogs barking in restaurant thought it was a dog kennel I was in not a restaurant . should be no dogs allowed were there is food .owner feeding dog with scraps from plate and this was...why dog was barking

view of the hole is wonderful, eating is reasonable, service not so good. the personal seems unhappy. eat them here when they stay (restaurant is part of the lodge in loch lomond), but not worth visiting from elsewhere.
The staff are.just children with now experience and the food is awful, wouldn’t recommend to anyone too go there the only this going is the views
