Service was terrible. Waitress did not know what liquors were stocked at the bar. When asked what brands of rye are carried, the answer was, We carry everything, what do you want? I asked for Whistle Pig Rye, and the waitress later returned and stated that they do not carry it. She then asked what my next choice was. I asked her for a bar list, but they do not have one. I then asked her to ask the bar what brands they carry so as not to be going back and forth. She later returned and said they carry Bullit. Our bartender right before five o'clock was really good . When the other bartender came in there, shortly after 5 she takes her jacket off coughs in her hands. Doesn't wash her hands ,but proceeds to help the ppl the bar. She never said hello us only to the regulars . Now we sat in the dinning area and that waitress was ok she gets a 3. We felt rushed. Terrible experience! Not worth it at all. My family and I went out to celebrate, but it turned into a disaster. The waitress actually complained to another customer about my baby crying. I ordered the chicken Francaise, and it was overcooked and rubbery. The penne alla vodka was unappetizing, and the shrimp had the same rubbery texture. The bread was hard as a rock. When I asked to have some items taken off the bill, I was informed that the manager had left for the evening and the kitchen was closed, so no substitutions could be made. I would have gladly paid double for a decent meal. In the end, we all left still hungry except for one person who ordered the steak.
The food was a bit disappointing, but overall it was acceptable. My fiancé’s steak arrived too rare, which was not ideal. The carrots were overcooked. However, I found my chicken dish to be flavorful, and the garlic mashed potatoes were quite enjoyable. The decor is a bit dated but has potential for improvement. The service was commendable, and the staff were very friendly. My fiancé has been a regular customer for years and has witnessed the changes over time. The total bill came to $103.00 for two, not including dessert and drinks. The clam chowder, in particular, was excellent.

We went to see a band at the Colts Neck Inn last night and we were very disappointed in the way the bartenders did not seem to acknowledge us. We tried for several minutes to get a drink and they simply seemed to ignore us. As more of our friends came to hang out, we got ignored more. I saw one of them even making a face at my friend who asked for a straw. If your not a regular there expect bad service from the two bartenders that worked last night. I think management needs to have a talk with these two ladies.
This is a fantastic local family steakhouse! The hosts are incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm, friendly, and comfortable, enhanced by great music. But, most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious! They truly excel at what they do! The quality of the steaks is exceptional—just outstanding! This place is a gem, truly a home away from home!
Do not book through google they don’t see the reservation. Food was good however the wait time was long and service was slower than would have liked.
