The place is a boutique pastry shop. We went off season so they didn't have fresh ice cream but the pastries were high quality. Chocolate was better than Nathaniel Reid in the chocolate croissant, but the flaky pastry was equal in quality. Light flaky. Rich. We got the butter croissant and it was excellent however you could really taste the butter. I know the irony of the statement. It was truly rich. Slightly more than I was accustomed. The almond bear claw was excellent. The flavor was the Goldielocks of profiles. The almonds were roasted on top the pastry and there was not the overwhelming almond oil the over saturates the palate. Don't get your coffee here. It is pumped out of a plastic...

This place has very limited hours and they sell out quickly! However, their croissants are definitely worth making an early morning trip if you want to surprise your family when they wake up. We tried the butter croissant, pain au chocolat, and almond croissant. The butter croissant is incredibly rich and, as expected, extremely buttery with a pleasantly dense and chewy texture. I’m a fan of chocolate croissants, so I found it delicious as always. The biggest surprise was the almond bear claw croissant. I usually can’t stand artificial almond flavor, so I was thrilled to discover a natural nutty almond taste instead of the overly sweet flavor I expected. If you find yourself in Kirkwood on a...

We were so excited to try Comet's ice cream since the coffee rocks it's only open seasonally but was worth the wait. The place itself is pretty unassuming. The indoors is not open yet and there is only a couple benches on a pavement for seating, an awkward space. You order from a window, no restroom access. There is literally nothing else close by, it's next door to a laundromat. Hopefully that improves when it is safe to open to indoors. There were 4 5 ice cream flavor options, all interesting unique flavors. The ice cream was a very nice, creamy texture. The mix ins tasted fresh and worked well together. The waffle cones were awesome! Super crunchy and crumbly, different than other cones....

We woke up early this morning and hurried over to the bakery to grab breakfast. Everything we ordered was delicious—the classic croissant, ham and cheese, and pain au chocolat. The prices were reasonable, and I appreciated the experience of ordering and paying right at the door. Don’t be deterred by the online ordering system; it might seem like they’re out of stock, but it's definitely worth giving them a call or stopping by if you're in the area. We recently moved to Kirkwood from the city, and we’re thrilled to have such a unique spot in our neighborhood! Book a table now

We got up early this morning, so we drove to Croissonterie to get breakfast. We loved everything we ordered - the simple croissant, ham and cheese, and pain au chocolat. The prices were reasonable and I liked the experience of ordering and payment at the door. Do not let the online ordering tool scare you off. It may look like they could have run out, but it's worth a call or, if you're close, a ride over. We just moved to Kirkwood from the city and love to have something so unique in our neighborhood!

If you can do it here for the odd hours, it is absolutely worth it. With six flavors of ice made in the house with local ingredients, only the samples are worth the trip. They are obviously super passionate about quality. The ice was amazing. Cookies looked great, but we could only pamper so much. Lattes are not as good as the original comet location, but still a great companion to the ice.

Thanks for saving them at night! came by to find them unexpectedly closed, they must be sold out for the festival. these great people heard our disappointed children when we went away and ran some delicious chocolate cookies. in any case will be even more back.

Without a doubt, this place offers the best coffee and food, and the creamery is fantastic too. The staff in the past have always been a delight to chat with. It's a wonderful spot for families or ideal for a date night. Book a table now

I didn't dine here because there was a sign on the door directing customers to another location. They really need to update their Yelp page and website. I also tried calling this morning, but no one answered.
