So let’s forget for one minute that this place will charge you $9 for a pint of beer (with literally no pricing available anywhere near the bar to see ahead of time) and focus on the fact that we paid $60 for one lane and three pairs of shoes and then we’re presented with a tip screen at the end of the transaction. The fact that we’re expected to tip people for spending our money with them is asinine. No service provided, especially not to any degree that would warrant a tip. Zero respect for veterans yikes! Comet has always been our go to for local bowling for YEARS. This evening I asked my husband who served two tours in Iraq where he wanted to go for Veterans Day and he said Comet to bowl. Upon arrival I had asked if there were any specials for those who served. The front desk gentleman said no and I asked if he’d be so kind to ask a manager if there’s anything they’d be willing to for such a special day for those who served to afford these folks the freedom to own a business and work where they would like thanks to their freedom. BBQ pizza was good but my group and I were unable to play bowling. They said the wait was 45 minutes and after we waited, they said it would be another 45 minutes. After that, they said it would be 30 minutes. Very frustrating that they’re making up numbers and we waited for so long just for no bowling. There should be a better or at least more accurate system in place, but I will not likely be coming back. We got there early to take advantage of $2 Tuesdays, but was not worth it.
