The tapas dishes were quite good and were served in quick succession, which may appeal to some diners while not to others. Unfortunately, most of the drinks we attempted to order were unavailable, so we ended up just having tap water. The toasted beans served as a starter were stale, which was disappointing. I had to take some points off for the service because they failed to bring one of the desserts we ordered. It has a lively atmosphere, the music was enjoyable, and the decor is nice with large windows facing the street. Despite the bustling environment, we weren't rushed to leave, which was a pleasant touch.
Second visit here, lots of tapas to share, the food was great but just felt that three of the dishes could have been presented a bit nicer, if that’s the right word to use. Parking: I was at the brewery art seeing a show so I parked in the pay and display car park there.parking isn’t good here at all. Kid-friendliness: Didn’t see any children, but it was evening so not really sure if I would take young children here. Wheelchair accessibility: User friendly, could get in and out of the door, and be comfortable at a table.
Went in here to eat tapas at 16.00 hrs and was told to come back at 17.00 hrs, so we spent an hour round kendal and when we returned we were told all tables were booked. Shocking customer service and no option at 16.00 hrs to book a table for later. This was going to be a birthday treat but will never return as the the same lady told us at 16.00 and refused us at 17.00 hrs.
Excellent! Perfect espresso, delicious vegan patatas bravas with guacamole, finished with lovely vegan hot chocolate. Friendly staff and sumptuous toilet facilities! The meal was decent, but the service left much to be desired. The atmosphere was also lacking, making the overall experience unsatisfying. The Valencian Fried Chicken was a highlight, but it wasn't enough to redeem the night.
As for parking, there isn't dedicated parking, but the restaurant is located on a main road through Kendal. There is some blue badge parking nearby, along with a couple of pay-and-display car parks within walking distance.
