Excellent food and location. Very special. We walked to the restaurant through a picturesque forest track from Flims (around an hour). The restaurant is a simple wooden structure but once inside is very stylish with huge windows looking straight out over the snowy mountains beyond....Outstanding food. Our starter was a savoury pear ravioli. A house speciality, we’ve never had a dish like this before and would highly recommend it. Our main course was delicious goulash on polenta. For dessert we tried two of their puddings chocolate cake and an apricot tart both delicious. Friendly service Afterwards we took a lovely horse drawn carriage back through the woods (no cars allowed up there).
From the car park south of Flims we walked through magical forest paths to the Rhine gorge, which smelled gorgeously of pine in the sunshine. Arriving to our table reservations recommended as it would be a shame not to be able to enjoy the...restaurant once you get there we sat in the sunshine in February with blankets and sheepskins to keep us cosy. It’s also possible to sit inside, but we were served quickly and well so we didn’t need to. The soup and the main courses are generous, and the cakes enormous! The lookout point is just five minutes further and well worth the walk. An absolute gem and probably just as good in summer we will have to see!
We visited the platform Il Spir for the first time. After seeing the great place we were ready for a lunch. We found this restaurant close to the attraction. We were surprised about the creative menu which is not usual for a simple biking and...hiking place. But it was not only the menu card which was great, the food was even better. I had the best Burger in my live. It’s amazing what you can do with some creative cooking, good vegetables and spices. The rest of the family was also very happy. Great kitchen on a great place.
This is an excellent restaurant, very close to the viewing platform Il Spir or rather you will cross it on your way. The restaurant has a great menu, with many options for vegetarians and vegans. Regional specialities and a great drinks menu too. I absolutely...loved the Birnen (Pear) filled Ravioli, a first for me! Polenta with wild mushrooms was also very good. It is worth the walk and the wait! The staff understands and speaks English.
