After reading all the good recommendations I decided to show our “authentic” Brazilian food to my partner. It was a disaster since we arrived. Not flavor at all in the coxinhas,Pastel or bolinho de bacalhau, and same for the main dishes , Just oil flavor. The fried fish dish and the feijoada was even worse and cold, but we were the only ones in the restaurant, is not that they were busy busy. As u can see for yourself, the food looks pretty suspicious. I got very disappointed and frustrated specially because my partner and I got an stomachache right after. Unfortunately,I can’t recommend this place, but I hope it was just a bad day and that they get better, because we don’t have anything goo...

I give this restaurant four stars for their basic fried tilapia, white rice, and black beans. The fish was fresh, but the rice was a bit dry - however, it was near closing time so I won't hold it against them. I plan on returning to try something different. I found it odd that the prices in the restaurant were different from the prices listed on their website. When I mentioned this to them, they asked me to scan something on my phone, but this did not update the prices on their site. Additionally, they seemed to be short on menus as they had to take them from another table when someone left. I observed this happen twice during my visit.
I sincerely want to love this place, give my Brazilian friends some business, but I can’t.1. The service was terrible; it was nonexistent. We had to flag down our waitress to order food, our drinks were never refilled, we were not given the enough plates, cutlery, or menus. When it was time to pay, we had to go to the front counter as our waitress had left for the night. Even there we had to wait as the staff was to preoccupied trying to the tv to show the soccer game.2. I’ve had a lot of Brazilian food before. Hundreds of meals in both the US and Brazil. The food here was salty, bland, and the portions small.
This new three-story restaurant and bar in Adams Morgan is absolutely amazing. They have live music on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, serving authentic Brazilian cuisine and strong caipirinhas. The main floor features great Brazilian music videos and a fantastic sound system for when there is no live music. They also offer Sunday brunch, events, and karaoke nights. This is a must-visit spot that should be added to your regular rotation. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and inclusive, even if you don't speak Portuguese or know much about Brazilian culture. Very authentic Brazilian food! Great grilled picanha and sides such as the awesome farofa, fried yuca (mandioquinha frita). Appetizers are also mouth watering: pastel (similar tô the empanadas, much better though rsrsrsrs) and bolinho de bacalhau (cod fried cake). I guess the feijoada follows the same quality, hope to be able to get back and try it!
One of my favorite places in DC! I’ve started coming here regularly and I always have a good time. The food is perfect, staff is attentive, and the environment is welcoming. They also have live music sometimes, which takes the vibe up even more
Eating at this restaurant makes me feel like I'm in São Paulo, Brazil! You have to try the picanha and fried yucca dish prepared by Brazilian chef Francisco. Check out their Instagram @taxs!
Moved the Food In general! The picanha, pastel, Cheese Valls, Chicken croquetes and All deserts are very classic traditional to the Brazilian cousin! Well done Book a table now
Food was great! Service was slow. Live band was amazing! Yuca fries were not very good.Really likes it and plan to go back.
