Copper Vine - Table reservation

Went for brunch before heading to the airport. We had reservations and the hostess was nice to help with Storing our luggage. We ordered the beignets which were good, mimosa service which was also good and the Shrimp Risotto and Grits with pork and shrimp, both of which were not great. The Risotto was way too oily making it rich to the point of a stomach ache. The Grits could have been good but they were covered in too much hollandaise sauce and poached eggs that everything became runny like a soup. Amazing food. Just need to serve more than one piece of skinny bread to soak up that delicious broth that accompanies your mussels. Excellent shrimp risotto as well. Very loud outside with the traffics and blasting car radios. Not the restaurant’s fault, but it affects the ambiance. Adequate but not great service. Had to ask that used plates be removed to we had space on the small table. Overall a very nice restaurant with excellent food.

We were seated on the outdoor patio area. Kat was our server, and she was outstanding. Made recommendations, and they were a hit. Came in from out of town, but this would be a regular stop if we were locals.

Appetizers were exceptional, service was also exceptional. My steak was not seasoned well, bland tasting. The pork chop was tough and the knife would not cut it.
