Cornersmith's reputation precedes it. The highly creative menu, the associated picklery and bakery, and the hip vibes of the quiet Marrickville locale all point towards a brunch lover's dream. But, on this occasion, the café's ambition was divisive. The flatbread with pork mince and almonds was a gastronomic delight; on the other hand, the bacon and egg roll was ruined, perplexingly, by bitter persimmon, which simply had no place in the meal. Both portions were tiny for the price paid. The distracted service and unimpressive coffee detracted further from an experience that was enjoyable in part, but, compared against the hype, ultimately disappointing.

The largest part of the vegetables here is local, and because of the availability you never know what you get in the order of the vegan surprise, but one thing is sure that you are looking for a delicious and healthy food every time.

I've been going to this cafe since 2010, and it's delivered that highly skilled, healthy local products and chutney. I like the rusty and authentic ambience, and you have a unique taste. This morning, the poached eggs are slightly cooked and the kiwi fruits look yesterday as they would be cut.
