First and foremost you will never experience this level of finesse, freshness and quality at this price point EVER. I mean really, I was foolishly expecting a more rustic meal but was blown away by the delicious subtly, the freshness of the ingredients and the knowledgable unpretentious service. If you think I'm bullshitting read my other reviews, I'm honest to a fault. Okay, we sat at the bar and the first engagement with our server/bartender was a question and recommendation. I prefer to start my meal with a white wine, most often a Sancerre. Since they don't carry a Sancerre or Sauvignon Blanc our server/bartender suggested a Friulano Friuli Colli Orientali, which was perfect, complex but...

Saturday 's date night brought my wife and I to another restaurant we had never been to. This time we were in Exeter at Cornicello on Water St(pic 1 . As usual, we began with each of us ordering an app and a cocktail. My wife ordered a Manhattan(Pic 2 on L and the Ceci(pic 3 , which is an Italian chicpea puree with garlic, black pepper, sea salt and evoo(a non-heated, crushed olive oil over bread. I ordered the Alitalia(as it turns out that 's a Paper Planes pic 2 on R and my app was the Salsiccia(pic 4 . They called it a Hot Mess of braised Italian sausage, red sauce and pecorino over bread. Both cocktails were perfect and the apps were mouth wateringly delicious. Each of us tried the other...

We tried Cornicello's in Exeter tonight. Got a parking spot right in front. Had a 4:3O reservation, (First ones there) got a great window seat. Comfortable small cozy restaurant. Server was very attentive. We started out with a nice glass of Chianti. We had the tuna appetizer with chopped sweet cucumber and avacado. It was tasty but small amount of tuna for $14. Then onto the bruschetta, got 2 different. One was the classic with baby tomatoes Mozz cheese, dressing was to die for and nice balance of toasted bread and juicy tomatoes. 2nd bruschetta was mustarda with mustard apricot sauce and pistachio's. I could have made a meal out of these, so good. $14 each. Entrees was crusted halibut (ver...

Was very excited to eat here with my lady last night, we had to reserve our dining experience 3 weeks in advance, this alone led us to believe it was going to be an amazing night out. We were almost instantly let down. Upon arriving we ordered our first drinks, not great, unbalanced and just not very good. I will say the pasta itself was good, as they make it there, but that is the pasta itself. The sauces were bland and lacked flavor. We were really bummed out. An evening we had been looking forward too for so long fell so flat. Side note, it was weird as they had what we considered a very racist poster representing a caricature of an Asian person eating a giant bowl of noodles, kinda weird... Book a table now

Very good Italian food! Fresh pasta in interesting and delicious dishes. They were out of some ingredients for cocktails, which was a bummer. But wait staff was well informed of wine offerings. The bruschetta appetizer was super good (we got the hot mess). Dishes were definitely large enough to share. Great views as well!!!
