Miguel's Cocina - Table reservation

We ate here on a Saturday night and had no problems getting a table without reservation. The food was very good. Highlights were the complementary cheese dip served with salsa and chips, the house made corn tortillas, and the house Margarita. Actually, everything we had was very delicious. The ambience was very strong and funny. We ate on the terrace that was on the cool, January night we were there. Our server was slow and disappeared. But that was more annoying than a real problem. I highly recommend this for a casual night outside.

Fantastic! Just fantastic. In the area looking for some good food and decided to stop here. Pleasantly surprised by the food quality and menu choices. We had the shrimp cocktail, Caldo 7 Mares, and Flan. Octopus was the most tender and delicious I’ve ever had. Needless to say this was one of the best meals I’ve had in months perhaps even years. Thank you for a memorable experience and somewhere to look forward to visiting again.

I love this place! It has not changed in many years! Food, environment, service and prices are always good. The melted cheese with salsa serve them as starters are so good!!! Sitting outside is my favorite, colorful, peaceful and comfortable. Just good memories of visiting this restaurant. It is like a secret (not so secret) island in the middle of a city.

We went all the way from LA to visit San Diego and also heard that this restaurant is really nice. So we went ahead and ordered fish Tacos and Chimichanga, both are delicious. The server was really nice and explains all the details. Overall we liked it and will visit again.

This was a phenomenal experience from the beginning to the end. The food, the ambience, the service and the smile were all stellar. Kimberly, our server, ensured that our nutritional needs were met with excellence.
