"An excellent Italian bakery and deli store. The best tomato pies around! They offer a variety of tomato pies there along with stromboli and other italian foods. No need to go to South Philly when the best is here locally."

This review is for non-locals. Any locals shouldn’t need a review for Corropolese or shame on you. ;)Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, eating Corropolese tomato pie was as normal as eating Wawa “hoagies” and Rita’s “wooder” ice. Since moving down to the DMV area, one of the only things I miss about my hometown is the tomato pie especially since Corropolese is the best, hands down. The OG spot that I grew up with is in Norristown on Old Arch Road although they’ve opened up a few newer locations over the years to accommodate their growth. They have good bread and other baked treats like cakes, pastries, and cookies. And their hot/cold sandwiches, made with their amazing sandwich rolls...

I’ve been going here for years. At the end of May I called and prepaid for a tomato pie. My card was charged. A family member went to pick up and they denied that I had called and prepaid, even though it was on my card and I could see I was charged. My family member paid again. So I basically paid $35 for a tomato pie because the girl who took my money didn’t put it “in the book” they use to record orders. Because she didn’t do that they forced us to pay again. I wouldn’t try to order over the phone if you don’t want this hassle.ETA: I stand by my original post. It’s good for people to know this can happen. However, I did get my refund and the process was super easy. The food here is good an...

I really enjoy coming here, will keep coming back, and recommend Corropolese to anyone. I like their fresh breads, and I still have to try that tomato pie. My only suggestion is if you come during lunch hour to the Norristown location (Arch Road), make sure to order ahead. It looks like they get really busy and stop taking sandwich orders between 12 and 1.

So I had to taste this pizza that everyone raves about.. I was expecting it to be the best red bakery pizza ever. Unfortunately it wasn 't what I expected. It was very sweet but not a tomatoee sweet ..and the dough was white, soft, and undercooked... Maybe the potato chip version isbetter.
