One of the easy adventures of travel is finding unique places that significantly differ from home. After touring one of the local absinthe distilleries, we visited Cote Pont for lunch. Small riverside restaurant with a fire on the hearth. Set menu: soup, entree with side, desert. Wine, aperitifs and coffee available. Well-made and served by the typical sole waiter. The room was all locals. Now, I know that it was a snowy day in January, but it's great without lots of tourists; that is why we often favor small over large European cities. An extremely warm place, with a welcoming and warm manager. The kitchen is excellent and we feel that everything is done with love. A small pearl by the water, relaxing and pleasant. Warning: there is only one choice of insert/plat/dessert that changes every day. Proof that everything is made that place, in limited quantities, for the pleasure of our taste buds.
By way to Pontarlier, we presented at noon for a table for 3. Unfortunately the terrace was already completely reserved, so we had lunch in the room. A single menu offered for 31€ with entry, dish and dessert to choose from. The welcome is warm and quick by one person. A little disappointed with the dish (sized child). Very nice decoration!
Wonderful little restaurant right by the Doubs river. Very good service and the meals are always wonderful. Equally ideal for a quiet and calm dinner as for a larger company. Be sure to book in advance though, they are popular. The one thing that could be improved is the wine selection. If half points could be awarded, it would get 4.5...

We were there at the end of September. Location is great. it was full so we waited 5 minutes. It is true that they have limited menu - the only thing they had when we arrived was daily menu.... but :1. It was GREAT GREAT GREAT. 2. 3 dishes cost 25euro!! and carpacio from beetroot - it was the best I ate !
