My friend and I chose to dine at Hunan on Saturday night, driven by a sense of nostalgia. This restaurant was once a premier and elegant spot on Coventry in the 90s and early 2000s. While it doesn't quite match the quality or experience of those days, we still enjoyed our meal. The service was outstanding, just as we remembered. I ordered Shrimp Chips, a Shrimp Fried Egg Roll, and Singapore Chow Mei Fun. Each dish was delicious, and the portions were generous enough to provide leftovers for the following day.
I’ve never been let down by Hunan Coventry. Even though I moved away a decade ago, I came back to Cleveland Heights for a brief visit today. I had the Mu Chu Chicken, while my friend tried the Tofu with Cashew vegetable dish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals—delicious and generous portions! The service was prompt and professional, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely come back to dine here if I get the chance.
The food I ordered today was not cooked esp. the vegetables. this order was made up of leftovers! it definitely was not fresh and I did not like the dish. I spent money and it was not good as I expected since I used to order food from theee a while ago. I expected freshly cooked food and I didn't get it.
My friend and I have been to Hunan Coventry several times. Each time we are greeted by friendly staff. The food is awesome and, the kicker for me, are the cloth tablecloths and napkins. Also, being a vegan is no problem for me. The menu is loaded with vegan options. I highly recommend a visit!!!

EXCELLENT, GREAT, I can’t begin to say enough GOOD about my Experience!! Food EXCELLENT!! Shrimp fried rice (x-Shrimp Scallops) Spring rolls Service!! I’ve been a customer since 2008!! ….I’ve tried many other places, Can’t Touch Hunan Coventry!!

This used to be my favorite Chinese food of all timeUnfortunately the last time I had it it didn't taste anything like the Hunan I remember.
