Crab Trap Destin - Table reservation

This was better than anticipate. We had just rolled into town to stay at a condo and arrived too early, but hungry. We did not want to spend a fortune on a lunch our first day in town, so we drove to the nearby Crab Trap. Our waiter, Lis, was very helpful and took good care of us. He answered our questions well. My wife tried the fried local gulf shrimp with fries and slaw. I had the fish BLT sandwich, although I wasn't sure about bacon on fish! Lis said that I would enjoy it, and I did! The Crab and Shrimp Linguine was the best meal I had my entire trip to Destin. I used all the bread to soak up the sauce because I couldn't leave it behind. My husband had the Captain's Platter and he loved it. We also had the Smoked Tuna Dip, the smoky flavor was great and not overpowering. Our waiter Zachary was the best. He was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The location right on the beach is fun, you can have great views while waiting and dining. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

we had our first “Meal on the beach” as we were on the way to the pcb. beautiful location, friendly and attentive staff. our daiquiris really seemed to have no alcohol in them, so overpriced. our lunches were good, but then again, our total number was more than one to pay for lunch on the beach.

Food was meh, the “Applebees” of seafood. The staff was excellent though with great service. Great view of the beach and the beer was cold.
