Eating was good, but could have been better. Probably a total of 3.5. The Peace of Apples were my favorite part of dinner and highly recommended. I had the CHILE JACK GRILLED CHICKEN. It was good, but not as delicious as I hoped. Baked potato and steakfrries were average. My wife had the sugar-hardened ham pretty good. The waiter was really good. Only complaint was not removed empty bottles from the table that allowed my granddaughter to knock on the floor and break one. The waiter and the fried apples brought themselves from 3 to 4 even with the supervision of clearing empty items from our table.
A 30 minute waiting period turned into an hour, but our host, Doreen, was an absolute joy. Even masked you could say she smiles! Sheila was our server and was a pleasure! Very fast with everything. And she never let Mom run out of coffee!! The food wasn't great, but it was good. After the long wait, I was really hungry and only slightly disappointed. I have eaten a lot here a few years ago and noticed a difference in the season. For example, the Hasch-Braun-Kasserole tasted the same as the potatoes. And for the price... could have been much better... $30.00 for Mom and I.
From the moment we walked in the door everything was excellent, once seated Deb took our order and made sure everything was to our liking. The pancakes, French toast and all the sides were hot off the stove and made to order, from the first bite we knew this would be our breakfast spot. Thank you Deb for your wonderful service and the cooks in the kitchen keep the griddle hot and the bacon fried to perfection!!!
I wanted to start tomorrow morning. At 7:00 we were almost the only ones there and were able to sit right away. I ordered the Grandma's Sampler. Between us we ate the perfect amount of pancakes, eggs, ash brown, sausage and bacon. We didn't get the ham, which is part of the meal, but replaced another sausage. Overall very filling and not too much. Just a great way to start the day!
