They don 't do the standard burgers and pizzas that most ski places do but can still mainline you all the fat, carbs and protein you need with their wide selection of excellent dishes and crepes. Excellent service and excellent food, one of the better places in Bruyeres. I had assumed that the name of the restaurant comes from the French word for owl but that is only half true. It is actually named after Napoleon 's horse 'Chouette ' which passed away in May 1800 when Napoleon was crossing the alps and was buried under what is now the Bruyeres lift. Josephine 's nick name for it was La Chouette, because the horse had insomnia.
