Nice place outside Avranches for an informal meal. I think good, honest food probably sums it up the best. Entrecote, chips and salad with Camembert sauce was tasty (if a bit overdone on the salt) without being spectacular, and those at the table who went for the gallettes and omlettes were very happy. Dessert followed. much later, and that would be my slight complaint. Although we had clearly finished and had even stacked our plates up to be taken, both staff who peered over at us at least 4 times in a half-hour period decided they didn't want to clear up and offer us the menu again. However, it was the only let-down in an otherwise very pleasant dinner, topped off by some wonderful ice crea...

We came for horse races on the hippodrome nearby and had less than an hour before the first race which is usually not enough time for lunch in France. Howerver we tried and made it. Friendly welcome by the owner in english, getting a table for four even without reservation, we had our drinks already few minutes after our arrival. The startes came soon and the main dishes followed quickly as well. Including aperitif and digestive (pastis and Calvados) we made our lunch in less than 45 minutes. And all the meals were great. Especially worth to recommend are Gallette Super Complete and Entercotte grillee. We visit Normandie regularly for more than 5 years and visit 10 restaurants every year an...

We had a difficult time finding this restaurant. Google maps took us to a hotel so we kept driving and found it on the side of the street further down the same road. The food was excellent and the waiter was very entertaining. We both started with a baked cheesy shrimp dish. I can't remember the name but it was fabulous. I had a savory galette that was delicious and very filling and we shared a dessert crepe that was fantastic. It was a wonderful meal and a lot of fun and we would definitely go back. We had been eating a lot of seafood on this trip and this restaurant was a nice change of pace and very inexpensive for such a filling meal.

Just by luck we stopped here, but it would turn we had a very nice dinner here! The owner welcomed us very warmly. You can tell he is very passionated about his restaurant and the food. He can help you with all your questions and was very helpful. As it turned out, he also spoke dutch, wich was a nice suprise. We first had a gateau, wich was very tastfull and richly stuffed with fresh ingridients. The crepe afterwards was very light and really nice with the salted butter caramel. We had a lovely time here and really enjoyed the food. This little restaurant is a hidden gem! Book a table now

This place is a gem and is loaded with charm out in the country, located about 2 miles from Avranches in Vains. No tourist trap here and the staff were superb! My large group basically filled up this small restaurant, but the accommodated us well. The host at our hotel, La Ramade, in Avranches, recommended this place to us and we were not disappointed. I don't know what an authentic country French restaurant is, but this comes close as to what I would expect. As the namesake implies, the crepes were awesome! I would not hesitate having dinner here again!

We had a delightful experience here. Good service and very reasonable prices. Lots of locals there - a good sign. We wen back again. We were introduced to galettes - very good. We pulled in because of a late arrival at an Airbnb stay. We were hungry and happy to find anything open. Very pleased. Our waiter was very helpful and nice.

Called in with my 2 children - their set children's meal was ok (just OK) but mine came after they had finished and I only ordered a simple omelette. The desert menu came and no order taken and the coffee was terrible - instant and not cheapAll in all the worst in the area. Just keep on going

Small restaurant difficult to find, along a lonely country road. Careful: in a navigator the address is not Vains as written, but Marcey-Les-Greves. When you are in place, you fit confortably in, the place is nice and the food mostly traditional Breton. Last but not least, prices are honest. Book a table now

We stopped for dinner, lovely local place. The crepes with Camembert are highly recommended. We also tried the creme brûlée and it was great. They were very patient with our lacking French.
