"This restaurant has a wonderful medieval setting and we enjoyed being there. The service was incredibly slow though! We had a pizza and salad and neither was remarkable. The salad in particular was very disappointing. When we asked for de-ca coffee, instant arrived, so we switched to the real thing which was fine. Very friendly owner and a nice ambiance overall, despite our criticisms!"

The street outside is plain and uninspiring but as soon as you descend the stairs into the vaulted medieval cave everything changes! The architecture is so unexpected! There was a warm welcome from the mother and son team and we enjoyed warm goat's cheese salad to start and then two delicious pizzas plus a bottle of wine. The food here is delicious and unpretentious, all assembled and cooked in full view, perfect!
