We only dine at this restaurant about 2 or 3 times a year, but every time we vow to visit more often. On a rainy Monday evening, we were greeted by friendly staff. Both my wife and I ordered the special dish. She had a hamburger with cheese and pineapple, paired with a salad that she said was delicious. I opted for the slow-cooked beef brisket, served in a flavorful sauce with roasted vegetables, all perfectly seasoned. For dessert, my wife enjoyed a sticky toffee pudding, while I had an apricot and lavender tart with cream from their special menu. I was initially concerned that the lavender flavor would be overpowering, but it wasn't. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal and we plan to re...

We dined here yesterday for my father in laws Birthday, he lives in Garstang but this was our first visit despite driving passed it many times. The place has a nice relaxed atmosphere, a little old wordly with dark wooden panels which as i suffer...from anxiety made for a pleasant experience. The food was lovely, many of our group had the Steak and Kidney Pudding and there was pleanty of meat in there, although the pastry could be a little overwhelming, it's the biggest Steak pudding I've ever been served in any establishment, everybody polished them off so that tells you how good they was. Added to that the staff where all very friendly. We will be back in future.
Having taken my family to this place for an early birthday meal for my brother, my mum had to tolerate what i do construe as age discriminate comments from some blonde haired woman possibly the manager. Yes, there is an age gap between my mother...and step father, although what right the staff or management here think they have any right to pass obtuse comments on is anybodys guess. Wont be back any further. Given the average age of people in Garstang is 49, while the median age is higher at 52 i think most people would fall into an elderly bracket. Perhaps if this consumer index isnt to the staffs liking they should go find alternative employment.
My only criticism would be that the regular menu is extensive, but the Sunday menu was limited to just a board with a choice of lamb or chicken for £12. There weren't any options for a two or three-course deal like at other places, and I think £7 for a dessert is a bit pricey. However, the standout of the experience was our server Liam, who was extremely attentive and respectful. He handled a rude customer with grace and remained calm and professional throughout. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, despite the limited Sunday menu and slightly expensive desserts. Liam's exceptional service made the experience worthwhile. Book a table now
I visited this restaurant on a busy bank holiday Monday using the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. This was not my first time dining here, and once again, I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and of high quality. Even without the discount, the prices are reasonable. Our server, a very pleasant young man, provided excellent service and was a great asset to the restaurant.
Have passes by here on a few occasions and wondered if it was worth a try. We weren't disappointed. Varied choice on menu to suit all tasted. Our food was well cooked and well presented. Delicious. Will definitely be going again when passing at right...time of day for a meal.
We enjoyed the food here which was fresh and hot. A good extensive menu with quality food supplied from the various surrounding areas. The variety was excellent, quality excellent, service excellent. Good selection of beers, ciders etc at a decent price.
