This hotel and restaurant are fantastic. The food is of really good quality, the ambience is great, and the staff is attentive. The menu has a good variety of choices and the prices are excellent value for money. The grounds and views are beautiful, and I can't wait to return in the summer to sit on the terraces and watch the sunset. My mum uses a wheelchair and we found the restaurant to be very accessible with plenty of space and great facilities. A big thank you to the team! We also attended a flower arranging and afternoon tea workshop which was well organized and very enjoyable. I highly recommend the afternoon tea, as there were many other people in the restaurant enjoying the deliciou...

Patchy experience here: we booked for a special celebration meal, based on reviews. The menu was too limited, and a dish three of us wanted sold out. Starters were good, but main meals disappointing. Roast pork was dry; fish dish had chilli in that wasn't mentioned on the menu; pasta ragu serving was small. Worst thing though was a screaming toddler in the room whose parents allowed him to screech at top of his lungs for about half an hour staff and manager in the restaurant were completely uninterested in doing anything about it. Apart from that, the place has a nice ambience, but the food overall did not live up to the hype. Might be OK for a lunch, but not a special meal.

The service at this restaurant remains excellent, however, the food was very disappointing. The starters were bland, with the salmon mousse being dense and unseasoned, the pork dumplings unseasoned and wrapped in chewy dough, and the overcooked chicken wings. The butternut soup was just okay. The mains were slightly better, but the parsnip and pear risotto was a miss. The desserts were also underwhelming, with the over-fried filo pastry being a disaster. It felt like we were in a real-life "Faulty Towers" dining experience. A memorable family meal that we will be talking about for years to come.

This restaurant sets very high standards for both service and food quality. We have been here for Sunday roast two weeks in a row and each time it has been excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious. In our opinion, it is the best Sunday roast in the area. We loved the spacious table with great ventilation, and even though it was crowded, the background noise levels were just right. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
