"I didn't stay here, it was just a transfer point on my way to my new job. I will say though they knew I was a new Princess Cruise employee and they were very kind to me, even stored my bags so I didn't have to cart them around with me while I waited 5hrs for the transport to my new job. The staff were gracious and I would recommend anyone to stay there just based on this...I just don't know what the rooms are like."

I thought a review was necessary, after reading others reviews. Let me start with the positives. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Many restaurant options. And location is very central. Here were things that need changing.1) the pool is listed specifically as family friendly. I actually read a manager’s answer to a review tgat stayed the sane thing in may promising changes. Nothing has changed. There are lap lanes set up and people are clearly there for that purpose. so unless you want to swim laps don’t use the pool. My 9 year old son was told to find his way through the men’s room and meet us at the pool. Luckily a staff member helped him as it was in an entirely different section...

I was given a room next to the elevator bank where I was woken up every 30 minutes to an hour throughout the entire night, I contacted the front desk about moving rooms and they informed me, I 'm sorry the hotel must be fully booked I asked if they could check if there is another vacancy that they could move me to, they stated that it would be extra if i wanted to change rooms, the rate they gave me would 've doubled my current rate, this is insanity. This place has lost my business and anyone and everyone who asks for a hotel recommendation in Anchorage from me.

Rooms are very dated. The service was terrible. We ordered a salad without tree nuts due to allergies. The waiter brought a salad with tree nuts so we asked them to redo the salad. He brought a salad back. Not knowing my son ate the salad, but all the waiter did was to remove the nuts from existing salad and left nut residue on lettuce. My son had an allergic reaction thank goodness it was only mild. Kitchen and waiters need to be more careful especially when dealing with allergies.

First time in Anchorage and this hotel was nice. Easy to walk to places. Only valet parking but I had no issue finding parking nearby. Convenient to have the restaurants in the hotel, they're good too. I didn't get to check out the shops but the art store looked interesting.Rooms: The room had an old timey feel. Not a bad thing just seems like their choice of aesthetics.Nearby activities: Some nice bars/taprooms, food, and outdoor activities all close by.
