We ordered a number of pizzas from Crust over the weekend including one with a gluten free base for my mother in law who is a coeliac. When the pizzas turned up there was no sticker to indicate which one was GF. I phoned the restaurant and they explained the difference. We thought we worked it out. Unfortunately she was obviously exposed to gluten either through eating the incorrect pizza or from contamination during preparation as she had a severe allergic response. I phoned their store today and spoke with someone who was friendly/courteous and explained their preparation process. All GF pizzas are prepared in the same area as the 'normal' ones. Expectations of a chain pizza place are not high but ......: after a fabulous pizza from Crust in Newcastle NSW my husband suggested we try the local Crust store in Armadale. What a disappointment. The outlet was almost deserted on a warm Thursday evening. We ordered pizzas and salads. They were just not made with care, skill or love. The flavours were flat. Probably tired or old! Far too much salt. And the salads amateurish. Never again. We will go back to the locally owned and run shops we normally patronise. Pizza is a simple, fresh and quick meal that when accompanied by a salad can be a tasty healthy meal. But not at Crust Armadale.
When in Melbourne, I usually stop by this location with a group of friends on Sunday evenings for a mid-evening meal or coffee. This visit I ordered a pasta bowl - bolognese - and it was actually pretty good. Service was good (as it usually is) and fairly fast. Others in my party ordered pizza and seemed pleased with their selections. The menu is quite varied, with a variety of different types of Italian dishes, plus a decent assortment of pizzas. The restaurant has two sides - one primarily for takeout, and the other primarily for dining in. Prices are competitive for the quality of food and the sizes of the portions.Overall - decent.
We went to Crust and got takeaway pizza tonight. We got half mediterranean lamb and half deluxe meat lovers plus a garlic and herb pizza. Both served within 20 minutes for pick up and hot! Delicious flavours, good portions for price. Friendly service too. Id return for sure!

Good cheap food. Not the best for you but doing it every now and then is fine. You can eat in or take away depending on how your placed
I was easily talked into going here by a mate of mine who I really need to learn to not listen to when it comes to eating.
The expert on pizza that I am, I feel I am qualified enough to state that Crust in Armadale do a pretty damn good pizza.
