Cuckoo Callay always has a great ambiance with plenty of pooches to pat. You can expect a line however the wait is always worth it (the longest I've had to wait is 20-30 mins). The coffee is consistently great (Coffee Alchemy), service is friendly and the food is always delicious. It's simply the best Inner West cafe. My all time favourite is a special meal served during the bacon festival. Pictured at the bottom, 'Silence of the Hams' – a ham hock and vintage cheddar croquette, topped with pea pannacotta, side saddled by bacon jam and a 63° poached egg. You must try a Cuckoo Callay poached egg! All eggs are free range and all food is ethically sourced from local suppliers. Happy eating...

Cuckoo Callay always has a great ambience with many puppies to Pat. You can expect a line, but the wait is always worth it (the longest thing I had to wait is 20-30 minutes). Grief The coffee is constantly great (coffee alike), the service is friendly and the food is always delicious. It's just the best inner west cafe. Grief My Time Favorite is a special meal served during the Bacon Festival. Pictured down, "silence of ham" - a ham hock and vintage cheddar croquette, with peas pannacotta, page filled by bacon marmalade and a 63 ° pobled egg. Grief You have to try a cuckoo callay-poched-egg! All eggs are free range and all foods are ethicalized by local suppliers. Grief Happy food :)

Weekend it means a yay day for brunch. We had mac daddy and the other one forgot the name. They were wonderful. The Mac & cheese was perfect with the croissant + fried shallot. Who would think that they would form a perfect combination? The slow cooked beef was tasty, almost similar to rendang. They paired it up with sourdough toast and 63 eggs. The only thing that i want to point out is the eggs could be better and more runny. And the croissant can be more crunchy. Overall its one of the best place to have brunch in sydney.

Couldn't be anymore bacon. Smooth and aromatic coffee, then bacon in literally everything and every way possible (and impossible). Bacon in your hot chocolate? Why not (picture as proof). This cafe needs to be commended for its attention to detail and including bacon in every aspect from the decor to it's menu and more importantly the offerings. They even sell bacon merchandise (bacon toothpaste). If you're a fan of bacon, welcome home. If not, you may just become one.

Visited Cuckoo Callay after seeing many Instagram-worthy pictures of them online. Handy location (basically at the Newtown station). I ordered the Sideways Shuffle. One of the most memorable platings I've ever seen! Blue swimmer crab cake with corn & avocado salsa, watermelon (obviously!), cucumber & melon jelly and a 63 degrees poached egg. Yum. This dish definitely deserves more than a 'Star'! .

Went here with a friend on a Sunday the wait was about an hour long just to get a table. Once we got in the waiters there weren't much help. They'll see us putting out hands up then walk away... the food took quite a bit of time to get come. The food was good but taking the time and service into consideration? Not worth all of this fuss.

Went here with a friend on a Sunday, waiting for about an hour, just to get a table. As soon as we have entered the waiter, it was not much help. See you that we set up your hands, then go away ... the food needed a lot of time to get. The food was good, but the time and the service considered? Not worth all this excitement. Book a table now

Original and delicious brunch options that will have standing on your chair to get an aerial shot. I had the Gorgeous George, which was your classic goats
