I've never felt more compelled to write a review from tonight's shocking dining experience. I'm going to write up the full and exact version of events to try and portray the defence this rude and obnoxious owner thought he had, so here goes...I called up yesterday to book a table for 8pm tonight. I was running 30 mins late so out of courtesy called up to let them know and was told this was no problem, there was still plenty of space. Upon arrival there was a table outside for 2 but after seeing the beautiful interior decided to sit inside so we moved and there were only 2 tables taken by other guests and around 8 free tables available. It seems this restaurant brings out the extremes in opinion, perhaps from some diners who are not acquainted with the Indian culture. After starting a conversation with the waiter his apparent abrupt manner disappeared and smiles replaced the straight face. The food was good and on a par with good Indian restaurants in the UK which is always a reasonable yardstick. For the starters the onion bhajis and aubergine pakoras were very good and the naan bread perfect. For the main courses the raita and curried side dishes were well prepared. Mougins its self is a wonderful place to visit if you are near Nice or Antibe. Many art galleries as Pablo Picasso once stayed there.The Curry House was a great discovery. I have found that "Indian curries" vary greatly in Europe from the UK, even between Scotland and England and definitely between the UK and India as restaurant owners always customise their recipes for the local people (lots of sugar in dishes in Scotland).The Curry House was the best Indian meal I have tasted in France or Spain. We stayed in Mougins for several days and fancied a change. We were so glad that we did we went back the following evening. The food was delicious and the waiters were very friendly. I don`t agree with the other reviews regarding the service and I certainly wouldn`t complain about discrepancies regarding the deals that they offer as this was the cheapest meal by far that we had while in Mougins.

I often visit indian places as it is one of my favourite foods. The food was really good at this place, but most of all, the staff was smiling, in a good mood and smiling. If I have a badly mooded waiter, it can really ruin my meal.. in this case, the staff was so friendly/happy that I had a splendid time & stayed longer for drinks. dishes are around 14euro - wine and beer are around 6euro.
We found the Curry House just by chance as we roamed the alleys of Mougins. The owner was very welcoming and the menu of the day (only served at lunch time) was very good we both had the chicken tikka which was served really nicely with nan bread as well.Small desert which was just enough. For the two menu of the days two glasses of wine and one beer it came to €39 which was very good.
It is probably one of the most blend Indian food I have eaten. It seems like a tomato based Mediterranean meal. We gave it another try and asked for spicy this time, and although it was spicy the flavour was again very average. I would not recommend at all if you are lucky for a curry house.
We have tried 'French' curry houses, and been rather disappointed as they always seem to tone down the spice in their curries. Not so at this charming little restaurant. The owner is delightful and we always have a fun evening when we go here, either as a couple, or with friends.

Reallllly unhappy with this place TINYYYYY portions, called to express my opinion and got A lot of shouting from a man. Ordered pilau rice for the second time and received BOILED..again.. Don't expect to pay 40 euros for A STARTER... TWO UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS!!
Good little restaurant with tasty indian foods. Pleasant and nice service, it's good to see an indian restaurant in Mougins Village. Prices are correct. I recommend!
