I have eaten here many times over the last few years, and recently returned after a year long absence from the area. The food and was just as I remembered, fresh, delicious and served with the same care and love it has always been in my experience. It isone of my absolute favorite places and I have never had any reason for complaint. Fantastic food and fair prices make it anaffordable place to enjoy as often as you like. It is a true family place and I have tried many, many of the dishes. They neverdisappoint. I sometimes talk to or overhear others coming to pick-up to-go orders, and everyone raves about the authenticity andgenuineness of the owners. A true hidden gem.
I visited for the buffet and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and customer service. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly friendly, so I highly recommend this place for several reasons: 1) the warm, family-like atmosphere; 2) the flavorful dishes seasoned just right; 3) the piping hot and delicious chai (which they kindly prepared without sugar, as I requested); and 4) their freshly made naan, cooked to order by the lovely aunts. I enjoyed three servings and was so caught up in the flavors that I completely forgot to take pictures of my plate! By the time I remembered to snap some shots, I was nearly finished. I ordered a $5 Tandoori chicken and rice lunch to go a great deal! The food was fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that it took longer than I expected to get my food. I thought that lunch specials might be quick, but it took at least 20 minutes. But the server was kind and thanked me for my patience, so I'm not too upset about it! I will probably go here again, but maybe I'll try calling ahead next time.
I love this place for authentic Indian food!! So delicious!! It reminds me of my husband's grandpa's cooking it's not too greasy, even though some of it is fried!! I had samosas many places they usually give me heartburn..but not from here!! Their garlic naan is sooooo good too!! Must try it!!
The food was fantastic. Took a little while to get it but it was hot and made fresh. The lady over who served us was very friendly and kind. Will def come back to this place when I visit California again. Warning: Huge portions so watch out ?
Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. The chicken was exceptionally tender. We traveled from Davis, and it was definitely worth the trip. The Mango Lassi and Chai were great as well. The chefs are very talented!
