Arrived on time for our booking but made to wait even though there were empty tables. When we were shown to our table it was a fling of the arm gesture and a sit here!! We then waited 15 minutes before anyone visited our table...to offer drinks. It was busy but not fully booked. We ordered our food, 5 main courses. After the poppadoms were requested a jug of water, after waiting 20 minutes for this we then had to go to the bar and ask again, at no point did anyone look to offer a second round of drinks service. ordered eating on their website for 5 x guests as there was someone birthday paid £90. 3 of the nets I ordered came as initial portions, so there was not enough food that half of it came best lukewarm, the other half cold and the...popadoms were so badly crushed that it was as if they were crumbling eating. We visited Curry Mahal with three generations of family, and it was honestly one of the best Indian meals we've ever experienced. The starters were particularly impressive, consisting of two different sharing platters'. These arrived beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The main course dishes...were equally superb, and served by attentive staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. At one point my daughter spilled some sauce on her sleeve, and within seconds one of the waiters had appeared with a cloth and some detergent to clean it off! Overall it was a hugely enjoyable evening we would all absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates fine Indian cuisine.

Visited this place in a group of eight.. the food was bad.. the quantity of food served was less.. The biryani filled only half of the serving dish that it was served in and it looked like it was scraped off the bottom of the...vessel it was cooked in.. the rice was mushed and had clumps of plain boiled rice in it, probably to make up the required quantity… The food was not good either.. I’ve had better tasting biryani for a whole lot less.. definitely not worth the money.. the service was bad.. part of my order was forgotten.. I would not return here..

from this restaurant have ordered many paints and were satisfied, but not this time first arrived 30 minutes early the wobbles bhaji tandoorhun and the keema nan were all overhauled and dry lamb passanda and huhn tikka masala were underspied...bombay kartoffels were nice, but will not soon be ordered by them

Awful service the restaurant is badly organised and the staff are rude good luck to those who try to order over the phone to get a takeaway they are happy to leave families without food for over 2 hours with no apology!
3rd time visiting this venue. Everyone had a wonderful time. Tried the non veg thali this time. Was expecting curry in the thali but still good.
