I stumbled across this gem of an Italian ice cream parlor by chance during a day stay in Cuxhaven and must tell the rest of the world about it. Folks, as a baby boomer I've been in many Italian ice cream places around the...globe but Da Dalto stands out by a mile. This ice cafe is conveniently located on the main thoroughfare Nordersteinstr. of the pedestrian shopping zone about minutes from the central railway station. This icecream shop is just the best I've ever been to! The quality of the icecream, of the pastries and of the coffee is just the top. all the products are selfmade with natural ingredients. The price is not expensive at all for the quality...and for the brilliant service. The staff is nice and kind, very available and fast in serving. The atmosphere is positive and refreshing, the ambient is colorful and vibrant. The decor is gorgeous and seems pure dreaming imagination, it's just so beautiful! The ambient is huge and there is an outdoor sitting and a gallery for smokers too. I would recommend this parlor if you have time to give it a try, if you want to stop after a long walk with your fam...
We have been for a coffee break in the afternoon and we didn't like the ice cream. This place was highly recommended from local people, but, being italians, we were expecting something better than what we got. The service was perfect, the location and the...outdoor tables nice. But the icecream was nothing special
The place is at an intersection of the walking shopping streets of Cuxhaven so it is a great place to sit, sip coffee, taste icecream and observe lives around you. Icecream is ok nothing so memorable. Cakes are nice as most cakes in Germany....Service is good. Ambiance is great
