After a day at the zoo we were looking for a place to rest and eat, and since Renato was the simple answer. It is conveniently located between the Zoo Magliaso and the train station. It has a decent indoor and outdoor area. When we were there, a Swiss birthday party took place, and we wanted to see each other. So we discovered the huge hall they could offer for parties and larger assemblies. The staff was friendly, attentive and very patient with children. You also have a visual children's menu and a small children's corner to play and draw. They only speak Italian, and the menu is written only in Italian and German, but somehow we could still pass. I was here with my friend for dinner and enjoyed it very much. I had a Vitello salmonato and my friend some huge salad with chicken and at the end we both took the house made tiramisu. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was quite full, but the service was fast and very friendly! I was surprised how fast they reacted to every table. I'm sure I'll come back here because my friend knows the place for ages and says that the pizza is a must!
We stayed in Ponte Tresa for two nights. On the second evening we decided to make a pizza. A friend gave us the address of Da Renato. We were a little early and the place was empty. The service was friendly and efficient. We have a large and delicious pizza with lots of salami, cheese, vegetables, spices etc. Very tasty and well done. We'll be back.
Beyond expectations. We ate well, the staff were courteous and professional. Super light and tasty pizza. Numerous and interesting dishes of the day, including fish-based dishes. Watch out for evening cross-border traffic: take this into account when traveling. Advised.
