I loved the waiters - very friendly and efficient service by what can only be described as typical warm hearted Italians. The ambiance couldn't be better, helped by the fact that this is one of the older buildings in Wedel. Delicious home made bread and pesto was already on the table before I could say "bring me a beer and a glass of wine for my wife".On every visit the food has been delicious - I had a fantastic lasagna on my last visit and can highly recommend this dish. If you are in or around Wedel, try this restaurant...you won't regret it.
I was taken to this wonderful Place by my family in Germany who recently discovered this wonderful restaurant.The ambience is lovely, romantic and very atmospheric.The anti pasta was as good as the best I've tasted even in the best restaurants in Italy,My main entree of a fillet steak with Gorgonzola sauce was delicious.To finish a abalone to die for.If you are visiting Hamburg,Wedel is only a short drive away west of the city and the Resteraunt is located on the main street very close to the main station.Please give it a try.
We moved to Wedel one year ago and have visited De Salvatore half a dozen times. The kitchen is good, but not spectacular, and we have always enjoyed whatever we have ordered........especially the lasagne.What bothered us was the lack of friendly and interested staff, which is very unusual in an Italian restaurant. On each visit, we were given the feeling that the staff were bored with serving guests, which spoilt the overall experience. We eat out a lot and a high price on service.

We loved this Restaurant and would surely go back. The food is super delicious and offers variety of pastas and pizzas. The ambience Is authentically Italian and has a different class. The staff is friendly and provides very quick service. The portion size is enough and they also serve very nice chilly oil to spice up ones taste. Their starter of linsen is very tasty. The price is also reasonable and it's a nice restaurant to take someone special.
