We were making the rounds at the bars down Waterloo Street, with Bound for Boston being the second of a few we hit upon a Friday evening. Being in town for our honeymoon, and myself being originally from Boston in the States, I figured this would be a fun stop. Unfortunately, this wasn't. While the greeter did seat us without any wait (it was packed inside), in the 20 minutes we were at the table, not one server came to take our drink order as we were told was supposed to happen. Given how packed the bar was and no one who seemed to work there appeared not to notice us seated, we decided to move on to the next bar. The band I was with at the Derry Jazz Festival played here, it's like the tardis, from the outside it looks quite small but inside it's large complete with a decked outside area overlooking the Bogside. Friendly crowd of mixed ages, heard it could get a bit rowdy in here but it was fine when we were there.
Its been a while and i only get to go when back home now. Definitely used to be the best pub in Derry but I hear those days may be gone now since the refurbishment. 5 stars on past glories.
