Beyond amazing service deserves a good review. Today was my first time at D’Amelios, I live an hour away and went to pick up a big tray of scchetini pasta for a gathering. When I got there it was 15 degrees outside and a very polite and charismatic man asked me if I needed anything, and I told him that I was picking up an order. He told me to wait five minutes inside the car and when he came out, he had the tray in a box and nicely wrapped. He insisted for me to stay inside the car because it was too cold, that he would take care of it. Meanwhile he was practically wearing only one sweater! Such a kind person! An then, when we tasted the scchetini pasta, it was DELICIOUS! I swear a lot of us...
If I could give this place a negative star, I would. So we decided to try your restaurant rather than our usual place La Tavola. We walked in, hostess friendly, walked into the bar and sat at the only high top in the bar area and we’re promptly ignored by the bartender. He looked at us at least 10 times, never acknowledging our existence. A server walked by at least 3x and didn’t look at us. There seemed to have been a good ol boys club at the bar. How this place has been in business for 40 years is a modern miracle. Don’t bother going. They don’t care about you, nor do they want you.
I diamond in the rough. The former house doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in the atmosphere changes to warm. The food is amazing and portions are more than enough for a second meal. The Parmigiano pasta experience (yes experience) is only topped by the yummy food that comes from it. A staple of Waterbury for years, Damelios has the best Italian food around! Joey, Gianni, Bobby G, and the staff provide an excellent dining atmosphere and exemplary service. Take a trip here when you are craving authentic Italian food, you won’t regret it!

We used D’Amelios to cater a staff lunch and it was perfect!! The food was delicious and well put together…the prices were affordable and the staff were so helpful and friendly!! We will be using them for all out catering needs!!
Always good, hearty Italian food and pleasant service. A neighborhood gem, for sure. But worth a drive to vist too, if you want a sophisticated setting that doesn't feel too fancy and a big portion of classic Italian dishes.
We had D’Amelio’s cater our daughter’s graduation party. It was a super hot day with temperatures in the 90’s. The food was outstanding and the cooks, Anthony and Will were awesome! Would highly recommend D’Amelio’s!
Corner bar, great games were on, low atmosphere, bottle of wine, fantastic standard dishes and specials, chicken Parm was the best ever, and short rib special was tremendous. Easy to be a regular here.

I had a rocking beet salad and a small side of pasta with broccoli. Sooooo delicious. And, it came out fast. (I was eating around 3 pm on a weekday, so it was extra fast.
With 8 people for birthday. Everything was good and went smooth! They were also able to bring children's dishes! The food was very good and will definitely come back!
