My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time when we visited this restaurant for dinner. I ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich while my boyfriend had the fish and chips. We also enjoyed delicious drinks - I had a Trader Vic’s mai tai and my boyfriend had a screwed up daiquiri. The staff was extremely friendly, especially our server, and the decor inside was beautiful. The atmosphere of the place was very welcoming. During our visit, we noticed that there were two tiki mugs available for purchase, both with the same design in two different colors, priced at around $46. We’ve now lived in Glendale for 5 years and just made it to Damon’s for the first time and I wish we would have gone sooner. We had Damon’s mai tai, coconut shrimp, potato skins, garlic bread, cream of cauliflower soup, house salad, the brisket pulled pork combination platter, medium cut prime rib, twice baked, and Mac and cheese. Dessert was the Kona coffee ice cream cake. Everything was delicious and I’d likely reorder exactly that next time. The bill was very fair for what we received and portions were great so we had some leftovers.
This salad is truly exceptional and one of the best I've ever had! The attention to detail in the food really shows that they are aiming for a Michelin star. I particularly enjoyed the unmelted Kraft single cheese on top of the frozen public school cafeteria burger patty. I'm excited to bring my parents here when they come to visit. However, in all seriousness, the food was so unpleasant that I am considering prank calling this restaurant.
It had been many many years since we have been to Damon's. We got there right at open. Which was nice. Food was fantastic. It is a lot of food. Drinks are amazing. Recommend Damon's Famous Chi Chi and Macadamia Nut Chi Chi. Service was fabulous. Environment is Polynesian Hawaiian decor. Tiki everywhere and we loved it. Everyone there was really nice. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant, with its Hawaiian theme both inside and outside featuring hibiscus flowers and cool decor throughout. The food was excellent as well - we tried the NY steak and Salmon dishes, both of which tasted delicious. The prices were also very reasonable. To top it off, I ordered the chi chi drink and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The service was excellent. I know it's a steak house but I was craving fish and chips. The beer battered fish was delicious, crisp on the outside and flaky on the inside. You get 3 fairly big portions of fish, It was served fresh from the fryer. They were both very hot. I asked for the steak fries.
Great food, the steak and shrimp was excellent and was prepared to perfection. I loved the potato skins, they were crispy and flavorful. Worth mentioning that the service we received by Connie was exceptional. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend Damon's steak house.
One of the best old-fashioned steak houses still around. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. I had prime rib. Their very own family served salad. And twice baked potato. All perfected prepared and served. I do miss the orange cream cake. Book a table now
4.5 Honestly, what a VIBE… a tiki themed steak house. You can go straight back to the bar if you’d like, and even order food there. I got the Caesar with grilled shrimp instead of chicken (perfect substitution), and the pot roast was really good.
