Visit to St Pol scheduled at the last minute. We have selected a few restaurants. Moving on from this one, a nice surprise: the artichoke is king here! There is still room, due to Storm Ciaran and the telephone cut-off. The menu looks good, but we choose à la carte. 3 entries. All 3 look appetizing. Buckwheat crumble with shrimp and breaded cauliflower, smoked trout. The journey starts very well, served with Macon loché and a red Touraine. A nice place. Excellent kitchen. Nickel's service. What's wrong? The map of the whiskies... There's too much to taste. Or we should come every day for years. Too bad. I highly recommend!
Very pleasant, a kitchen with excellent value for money, organic to over 80%, based on local quality products, dishes with a touch of originality, all in an excellent atmosphere.
I ordered a galette with onion count and Roquefort and bacon. Onions were cooked with water and still crunchy as bacon and Roquefort was not even melted. Very disappointed.
