I visited this restaurant on Easter Monday and was pleased to find that they were open when many other cafes were not. We ordered the waffle fries, grilled broccolini, and the chilli scrambled eggs. I really liked the waffle fries. The other dishes and coffee were served promptly but were just okay. The broccolini was served on multigrain bread, which I didn't care for. I would have preferred it on sourdough bread as listed on the menu. The service was average and the staff were polite.
I ordered The Darling with scrambled eggs and a Thomas Edison. The way the order was packed is awesome. The bread, the egg and the rest were each separately and carefully stored in sustainable containers and boxes. This means the food didnt go mush in transit or cool down as easily. I was able to set everything on my plate as on the description photo and it was great. Like I was there. I highly recommend this place.
The food and atmosphere were both fantastic. The staff were attentive. The kale and other greens served with the salmon fillet were cooked perfectly - still crunchy. The dish had a unique flavor of spice and lime that made it delicious. My partner enjoyed the Eggs Benedict as well. We have visited before and have always been satisfied. The prices were reasonable.
Darling indeed. What a place. Absolutely hot interior. Glass and wood. Aesthetic coffee machine. Staff super friendly and relaxed. And the menu. Unreal. Unstoppable. Almost too hard to choose, but the staff were happy to chat through the pros and the cons of my options. Plus they’re licensed and make a banging mimosa. Book twice. Book a table now
The food is decent, but the coffee is exceptional. The pancakes are delicious. The scrambled eggs look good, but they are not perfect. However, the milkshake is terrible.
Didnt receive half my order.the topping for the smashed avo was pathetic and barely covered one piece of bread. The steak sandwich was good though.
Apple juice was shocking, toast was just bread had to toast it myself. Eggs were over cooked. Not be ordering again
