Das Bierhaus - Table reservation

Good atmosphere and an interesting menu. The waiting staff were friendly, but things were a bit haphazard - beers and water arrived quickly, but wine (ordered at the same time) took two reminders to get the bottle to the table. We requested the bread to arrive before the starter/entree which it did, but only about 5 seconds before which, I suppose, we could have been clearer about. The food was ok, but not memorable. Dumplings were a bit on the dry/rubbery side but the portions were very generous and we certainly couldn't have eaten more. At $70 per head, including tip, it seemed like quite a lot to pay for a couple of glasses of wine, a beer and two courses, and there's a lot of places deli...

Positives:- the ambiance is lovely,- extensive menu with some interesting choices,- good range of German Austrian bier at fair prices,- cost for 2 with 2 glass wine, 1 x 300ml bier 2 courses $100aud,- staff are attentive and organised,Negative.- no alcohol free Bier despite 2 choices on the menu,- miss understanding about $3 extra for sauce- waitress should have mentioned sauce ' an extra'. it is in the menu,Summary,I would go back, thought Kaiser Stuben is really god too!

Thought this was going to be a great place to take my family for a birthday dinner, but I certainly wasn't happy with the service at this restaurant from the beginning. Food was ok but don't think I will be heading back here anytime soon. Sorry for negative review

This would be a 3 star rating if this was a restaurant, but as a club, it's worthy of another star.

Surprisingly awesome seafood here, actually the food in general was pretty great.
