First off.... NO BREAD??? ...smh.... Really should have been a one-star review but the server was nice. After reading these reviews I'm perplexed after my visit. I think these people that have gave this restaurant 4 and 5 stars have never been to an Italian restaurant before. It's sad really. I got the eggplant Parmesan which claimed to be the best.... It was less than average. Hardly any sauce and a little bit of cheese. No offer of fresh grated Parmesan either.... I've had a better Italian meal for a better price at one of the Italian chain restaurants my cousin calls McItalian. We had an ok experience, but probably won't be back. The garlic bread was good, but the amount of garlic was almost too much. I had the chicken parm which I liked. We also had the spaghetti and meatballs, which left something to be desired. The meatballs were big but almost rubbery while trying to cut them. It is not a big place, maybe 10 tables. We were asked about a reservation and we didn't have one. The restaurant was only half full, so it wasn't an issue. Amazingly satisfying Italian food I got a Groupon that accidentally had the wrong terms and they still honored it They earned goodwill for life from me for that! The smell of the place had my mouth watering as I waited for my garlic bread and spaghetti w marinara. After getting it home with great service (even though there was an issue w the Groupon), and a long convo w an old friend, I reheated my meal, and had the best garlic bread I've ever experienced in over 50 years, and the tastiest spaghetti I've had in memory.
My mouth is watering just typing this. We started with the fried mozzarella. This is the first time having disc shaped mozzarella “sticks” and they were little clouds of deliciousness! The server introduced herself and I was so pleased and intrigued to hear that it’s been a family business and her and her sister run it. I love it’s local! My husband had the spaghetti pie and I had a garlic butter clam pasta dish, I forgot the name. It was all amazing!!! Will go back! Book a table now
This is my go to spot for Italian in Colorado Springs. I always get the lasagna because it was in my top 3 and I'm fortunate and travel alot. My 2024 experience the quality dropped a tad, from a 5+ to a 4.. Not sure if it's the same owners (last there in 2019). There was only 1 waiter tonight and while he was great, you can only do so much. Something seemed to have changed. Still a fantastic place to go in that area.
We came last year as tourists, the place was packed, we came last night it was empty. Food wasn’t as good this time around. The men’s bathroom had mud all over it, the women’s bathrooms had no soap. 4 people, meal, salad =120$. I don’t think it was worth it, we won’t be coming back. It appears the place has gone down hill.
Went here for a dinner with a few friends. The food was amazing, I recommend getting the fried mozzarella, they are very crispy. Might be hard finding a parking spot on busy nights, but worth a visit.
Good Italian food. I ordered the chicken pesto and it was pretty good. My wife ordered the truffle pasta... Yum! The staff was friendly and attentive and it's got a cozy feel there. Book a table now
Me, my dayghter and son inlaw had dinner there a couple weeks ago It was fantastic I had rhe sausage carbonara. It was great Tonight I made my own and sadly it didn't compare.
