Hands down my favorite mom and pop homemade Italian food for going on 43 years! We've been a regular through all of the different locations and changes. We get very excited when we sit down and dig into their delicious Italian salad with the most out of the world creamy garlic dressing, their ever so tasty eggplant Parmesan, their spinach pie, their fabulous bread, their homemade green spinach noodles! I can go on and on. We now live in California but whenever we visit our hometown, we ALWAYS make a point of stopping at our beloved Dave's!
Dave’s new kitchen is a small cozy place, with delicious food! The server was very likable and helpful. Took his suggestion and ordered the ravioli with Rose sauce: amazing taste! Definitely recommend this sauce with whatever you’d like to eat. The bread was fresh! Nice wine. The food came out very fast! Be careful as this small restaurant so close to the campus may get filled quickly in busy hours.
I was pleased with the experience at Dave's New Kitchen. There are many pastas made from scratch. I ordered the ravioli with olive oil and garlic. I like the fact that the restaurant is small and service is quick. I also ordered the italian salad and balsamic chicken along with garlic bread and bread pudding dessert. Servings sizes are generous and prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back.
No hassle, good food/dollar, good taste. I hope they stay around Noyes for many years to come. I am revisiting this review in 2019 to reiterate my 5 star rating. The food is better than I remember. I love how the reds of the tomato sauce and the greens of the veggies are so bright and vibrant. That means that the stuff was prepared fresh and demand, and it did not sit around and oxidize.

Last night we walked in and ordered Calzone, chocloate mousse, salads to go. The manager and staff were super friendly and offered us water while we waited. The food was superb and well worth the wait. Next time I visit Evanston I will make that my go to restaurant. Thanks to the manager and the staff. Dan
The food and service were amazing! Our group, all vegetarian, enjoyed the garlic bread, pasta, lasagna, pizza, and both desserts. Everything was delicious. I particularly loved the pasta with jalapeños and the combination of Marinara and Alfredo sauce—rich and flavorful! I can’t wait to visit again.
Dave's Italian Kitchen is alive and well! This new location is smaller and more intimate, but the calzones remain an excellent value. For just $12, you can enjoy a massive calzone that's almost big enough to share. I just wish they offered a wider variety of fillings.
We have been dining at Dave’s for well over a year. They treat our families like their own, and always prepare the freshest salads. Breads. pastas. And Pizza when we come in. It is like going over to your Italian aunt who happens to be the best cook in family

This is my absolutely favorite dinner place in Evanston as a Northwestern student. You really get your money’s worth here at Dave’s — and a tip: get shrimp along with your pasta rose, the flavor is amazing. Also, the $3.50 garlic bread is a steal
The owner is incredibly kind and the food is fantastic. The menu offers a wide variety of choices and the portion sizes are generous. I am very pleased with my order.
