De Dutch at the Vancouver Convention Centre offers breakfast and lunch food with magnificent views of the harbour.  You might even see the seaplanes landing.  Every time I visit, the dining experience is quiet and almost serene.  It is a place for comfort eats while enjoying the beautiful scenery.  I have dined there on several occasions and this post reflects my experiences from those visits. I dined at De Dutch during the winter, but I could see that the patio would be great during sunny and warm days.  The inside dining space is clean and bright; it has a mainly orange color scheme with yellow and brown accents. Seeking an early breakfast by the waterfront, we chose “De Dutch” for a pleasant sit-down meal. Having visited several of their other locations, I can confidently say this one was the nicest I've experienced. The restaurant beautifully complements its surroundings and the stunning views it offers. As you approach the entrance, you're immediately captivated by the sights of the water, the mountains, the city skyline, and seaplanes taking off and landing. These picturesque views are accessible from both the patio and the expansive glass windows that line the restaurant. You can even hear the seaplanes and enjoy the occasional helicopter passing overhead. This unique feature truly sets this res...

Great food and great view. We are on holiday to Vancouver, and thought we'd try out De Dutch as it had great views. The breakfast menu is varied. On my first visit I had scrambled eggs with cheese. The service was quick and the waitresses were smiling and chatty. The eggs were great and came with potatoes, I had the fruit instead of the salad. The fruit was fresh and very tasty. We came back the next day, and I tried the Power Breakfast, which consisted of Bananas, granola and yogurt with a sprinkle of dried cranberries, with a side of sourdough toast. Couldn't fault it!It may be a little more than you would expect to pay, but I guess you are paying for the location!

We arrived at the restaurant around 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 10th, and were seated promptly. However, after waiting for 10 minutes without being approached by anyone, we asked the hostess for someone to take our order, and she assured us that someone would be with us shortly. Unfortunately, in the following 5 to 7 minutes, no server came to our table. Frustrated, we decided to leave and noticed two staff members at the back chatting loudly, completely oblivious to our departure, including the hostess.

Surprisingly good. I will admit my own prejudice towards De Dutch having never been there until recently. Found myself at Canada place craving breakfast but with only De Dutch around. Always considered it close to a Denny's but the layout and menu suggests otherwise. Had the Canuck special(I believe) which was eggs, french toast and Canadian bacon. It was fantastic and the service was good. The coffee in my opinion needs to go as I found it cheaply bitter. <br/ <br/ Will go again.

DELICIOUS. Truly, it’s one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, and it was absolutely exceptional. The service was also fantastic. The only minor issue was that the food seemed a little rushed in preparation, which was noticeable. Nonetheless, it was so delicious that I highly recommend it.

I stopped by for brunch right before catching the Hullo ferry, which conveniently docks right outside this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. While the prices were a bit on the high side, considering it’s Vancouver and located by the waterfront, the meal was definitely worth it.
