So I stayed in the HOTEL de la Canner and there is only one restaurant in town. So I sat down for dinner. I am presented with ONLY a three-course menu sheet in French. No price is listed on the sheet. After I make my choice and get my food, I keep peering at the plate of the woman at the table next to me. WHAT is she eating. I am SURE I wasn't given THAT choice. Hers actually looks appetizing ! The only good thing on my plate is the yummy sauce that my cardboard-like chicken is covered with. While the waitresses are VERY quick in removing my entree-buffet plates, I have to SHOVE my finished main plate in front of them to finally get them to take it and bring me my dessert, a mousse au chocol...

Simple hotel with simple but clean rooms shower and seperate toilet. Not the most modern rooms, but for their price more than ok. Decent breakfast buffet and price/quality dinner, more than adequate. Terrace outside and big (40 places) private parking. Very calm at night, only the church rings at 7am but the windows keep the sound out quite succesfully. For a short stay or even a one nighter this is recommended, certainly as it is rather cheap in comparison with other hotels in the larger region and you're only 15 minutes or so from the A31.

Back to the future 2.0! This rather dated hotel is still a nice place for the transit to NL and better than any other budget hotel. Feel free to drive fifteen minutes for it!! Good service and (half) English speaking staff. The rooms are still furnished as they were in the 1980s, but are clean and have good beds. The rooms are noisy, so bring earplugs. Dinner was the best we had all holiday! Delicious classic dishes such as asparagus with Hollandaise, tasty chicken ragout and Cote de Boeuf.

We booked a room allowing dogs for a weekend, everything went well. Basic room, comfortable bed.
