This is one of the most remarkable restaurants in Hudson. Every time we visit, we end up trying nearly everything on the menu because I just can't help myself. Recently, for lunch, we enjoyed yuca fries with a delicate aioli, a lovely chicken tamale in a flavorful sauce, and potatoes topped with locally sourced hot dogs, all mixed in a delicious sauce. The food is just one part of what makes this place a true gem and a blessing for Hudson. The owner runs this establishment with great energy, complemented by a charming and friendly staff and lively music. We stumbled into Deb's as tourists and were blown away...so much so that I asked chef/cook Carla if she'd take a picture with me. She graciously did, and we talked briefly about her background/inspiration. We had the crab salad, avocado salad with shrimp, yucca fries with chimichurri, and the potato and hot dog thing (forget exactly what it's called . Big bold flavors out of such seemingly simple dishes. Clearly top quality, fresh ingredients. I'm just going to stop typing now because I'll make a fool of myself, but I seriously hope Hudsonites (is that right? know what they have here a true gem. Please go. Thank you again, Carla!
I had an excellent lunch! He ordered the local hot dog while I went for the crab salad loaded with avocado. We both sampled the turmeric, ginger, and lime elixir—wow! The drink was incredible, and the food was fantastic! The music was a bit loud, which I had been warned about, but overall, the food and healthy drinks made for a wonderful experience.
We loved our meal and service (thank you, Grace). I recommend sharing records to try a bit of everything. The whole fish was so delicious; crispy and light. Spouse loved the choices. We'll be back. Soon.
