I hate to make a negative review for any local family restaurant, but my most recent visit left me and my family puzzled. I’ve been to Italian Kitchen multiple times (years ago) and remembered that it was always good. This time the food was underwhelming. Of the three dishes that we ordered there were critical flaws in each. Sadly, none of us felt it was worth the price, the wait, or the drive.
Italian kitchen recently catered an event for us. Guests are still raving about the food. Johnny and Tatjiana were amazing to work with. Very professional. They brought in amazing food with beautiful chaffing dishes. They handled the event like they were family. I would definitely recommend Italian Kitchen.

Deerfield Italian kitchen catered my daughter’s wedding on June 15th. Being from Southern Illinois I was nervous not being familiar with caterers. John and staff were amazing!! From delicious food, to friendly and knowledgeable staff, and honest quote given from the start. So thankful with the experience!
Visiting from out of town found by luck! Food was fabulous! We had the gnocchi and manicotti, so nice to have something so fresh and light. Sauce just right for delicate manicotti noodles. Lisa was very nice about adjusting sauce for gnocchi. Salad great combination. Lisa was friendly, helpful and fun!
We remember this restaurant to have had good food earlier. But that was before the pandemic. Unfortunately it is not the same anymore. It was completely empty. That should have been a red flag but we just continued thinking it may have been because it was a weekday. But alas! We were very disappointed.
The service and professionalism is an amazing. The owners are super friendly and pay attention to detail. Our food was great, plentiful, fresh and hot. We are new to the area and will order more food from this restaurant again.
