I just experienced the most unprofessional customer service !! Actually still in shock. I respect that in this current pandemic there is time restrictions in cafes so they can turn over customers and keep their business afloat. However there is always a way to approach this whole situation. This afternoon I attended the Degani cafe in Casey central asking to be seated at one of their many empty tables. I was automatically told there was a 30 min restriction for light meals. I simply asked if the 30 mins included their preparation time. Had a late lunch there today with my mother. We were the only ones in the cafe plus an elderly couple who were eating already. Ordered and that was fine, received our green tea and that was no trouble. 25 minutes later and I’d thought I’d go up to the staff member who was cleaning cutlery and see where the food was since no one was cooking any food and the owner had gone out of the cafe. Turns out the cook in the kitchen hadn’t even noticed our docket with all our food on it. No one even acknowledged to me and my mum that we were waiting on food, no apology and there we were eating our food $60 worth 40 minutes later. I like to support the local restaurants and cafes. Last Wednesday we went there for lunch but so disappointed with the quality of food. We ordered rustic bruschetta. It was just two slice of normal bread with tomato pieces costing us $10. Such a disappointment with quality of bread. It was like $2 bread at coles. I m pretty sure that you can’t go long like this. Too much cost cutting and compromise with quality. Please avoid if you can
Such a nice cafe, a quick service. Value for money. The staff was excellent in terms of customer service. Will be back. Very recommended.
